FLASHBACK FRIDAY >> END OF SUMMER MEET 2002

Can you spot me? (In the little scooter) I don’t know where to begin on this but I was looking through old fotos that a friend of mine took back in 2002 where we didn’t have digital cameras yet, Daniel Kwan was in school for Photography at the time and he’s move on to bigger and better things. I usually dislike talking about the past but its great seeing old stuff like this, makes you look back how dumb and retarded kids we were, and still are.

I will try not to blabber but I want to make sure I tell the story right and not do a half ass shit, I’m also really bad at telling story, grammar and spelling so excuse all that and enjoi…

Early 2000 was an epic time for me of having fun and bullshit with your friends. A friend of mine Richard (DragonKnight) was interested on doing a Celica & AE86 meet. We first decided it was just going to be our crew then another member offered us their parking lot which was LOGITECH  parking lot in Fremont that could fit 100’s of cars. So we said fuck it and lets do and all End Of Summer Meet and we’ll invite everyone. We, well I was in all the car forums,  I would just troll all day in forums to pissed people off. It was my daily job to quickly pass time at my job. I started posting all the information in car forums and quickly got tons of interest.

We posted the information at one website, then next thing you know it was on another website and another one. We counted how many people were going to be there and about 100 or so, 100 back then was huge. At the day of the meet, we didn’t think we were going to have over 500 cars and 1500 people that were going to be there. It was HUGE, I mean back then that was big which carshows were the only one to pull those kind of numbers. I was one of the organizer of the event and thanks to someone that offered me their scooters I was able to go around very easily and organized the event. The day went on smoothly but you also have to realize this was mostly import cars at the highest peak of the industry when Fast & The Furious came out, so we had many kids just being kids while leaving the venue. That was also the time to never go back to Fremont again. The people and cops there was just fucking awful.

Look how retarded I look, not that I don’t look any different today but man, I was young and sexy. Well except the sexy part. Baggy pants and white shoes, which two things I don’t wear anymore. That’s a nice stache also. Just don’t say I was never involved in doing good things…
