Pursuit of Happiness. If you’re not having fun during the pursuit and all you want is the prize, you’ll never get to that prize.

The Pursuit is the best part, it brings memories and good times. My 2009 started great then at the middle of the year I stop and drop everything, I was unmotivated and uninspired to do anything. I realized that I need to start driving things again and not feeling like my life is in standing still. This may be my best time, I’m surrounded with talented and inspiring people, I need to use that as my guidance and tool. I want to change that for the year 2010 and get things moving again. I want to introduce a few project its truly for myself and myself only, not for anyone else but for self-inspiration. I feel like I need to close out my 2009 in a good vibe… so this is rather long than usual but I want a fresh start 2010.

These project of mine are small but I want to take small steps to start gaining that momentum once again that I had. For a few years now I’ve lost all my interest in cars, I didn’t want to do anything with cars and ‘fixing’ them up. To me fixing up modern cars is stupid, pointless and pain in the ass because you have to part out the car at the end, return it to stock or find just the right buyer and you still get your ass handed to you financially. So I knew if I wanted to get back into car hobby it needed to be a classic, something that the value appreciates as they get older. It’s easy to put a car together but the difficult thing is to tell the story. I’ve always believed that cars are meant to be driven hard and had to be track tested if you put effort into tinkering your ride but that have change for me lately in the last few years. It doesn’t always have to be speed, motors,  or loud fart cans, or maybe I’m getting old. But look at it as a design aesthetics, use this car to get some creativity in life. Something I can be passionate about, something I can use to get inspired once again…

Introducing my Mercedes Benz 280SE Chassis W114, I pick up this car no more than 30 days ago. Before I post details of the car I wanted to give a credit of who inspired me again to get my balls tickin’ and start messin’ with cars once again…

I’ve came across to this fellow car enthusiast Randy Letkeman from Canada which he has a ‘76 Mercedes Benz 300D. When I first saw the car, it felt like the same typical cars but when I saw his 3 friends riding in his ride, that was it. Cars are just 10 times better when you have entourage, life is never great without your friends. Check out Randy’s car below and you can read more about it here.

I went crazy searching for one and even drove 6 hours just to check one out, the car was in such ridiculous condition but what do you expect on a 30+ year old cars? I’ve expected better, so I pass on that and waited for another opportunity to come and boy was I glad I waited, the 2nd one I found was in great condition, clean interior but have sat outside of a paint shop for 2+ years. Over all for being a 36 year old car, I’ve gotten a great deal on this car. Here are a few fotos of the 2010 G-RIDE, they see me rollin…

What my plan on this car? I have an idea but I’ll leave that for the future build process.

My next self-project is something I’ve never done but doing it to get myself motivated and not stay in neutral, got to keep driving for 2010. I’ve been talking/planning on this for the last couple of months but I wanted to start fresh with a new year & new day. It’s a 365 days photography, sounds great or horrible. I feel like I’m setting myself to fail on this one but I will try, this is going to be a challenge since I suck at taking fotos, I couldn’t tell you what those numbers in my DSLR’s as the next guy. This is one of the reason I’m doing it, making useful of my camera’s and also to look back on later on life. It will start 010110, wish me luck and check it out here…
