Maria Corazon “Cory” Sumulong Cojuangco Aquino (January 25, 1933 – August 1, 2009)

If you all know me personally, I hardly talk about anything about my own culture. I still remember when they finally replace Marcos as president in the Philippines with the first woman president, Corazon Aquino. Philippines was a horrible place to live when Marcos was the president, corruption and laundering money. If you went against Marcos you pretty much end up dead or in jail for life, it was fucking horrible.He ruled the country for over 20 years.

This all change when Corazon Aquino have replaced Marcos as a president. The first lady president in the Philippines. I was still living in the Philippines when this happen, I was there to witness it all. Aquino is the only president to have completed her term without trying to extend it through constitutional change.

From this on, I still believed Corazon Aquino was one of the best thing that have happen for Philippines and was also named as the The Woman Of Year by TIME in 1986.
